Team meeting and excursion in the “Global Pastures” project
From 31 August to 4 September, Prof. Dr. Roland Hardenberg participated in the third team meeting and field trip for the research project “Global Pastures: Ethnographic Explorations of Alpine Grassland Connections”, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation and the Autonomous Province of Bolzano-South Tyrol since 2023. The project is led by Prof. Dr. Viviane Cretton (HES-SO Valais-Wallis, Switzerland) and Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Tauber (Free University of Bolzano, Italy).
Anniversary celebration: „100 years of the Frobenius Institute in Frankfurt"
On 11 July 2025, the Frobenius Institute celebrated its centenary in Frankfurt with around 90 guests at the Frankfurt Historical Museum.
Workshop: Grundlagen der Stadtanthropologie. Geschichte, Machtbeziehungen und Regionalschwerpunkte aus sozial- und kulturanthropologischer Perspektive
An 16. und 17. Juni 2025 haben sich in Frankfurt Stadtanthropologinnen und Stadtanthropologen aus ganz Deutschland und der Schweiz getroffen, um Grundlagen der Stadtanthropologie zu diskutieren und die Herausgabe eines Handbuchs zur Stadtanthropologie im Springer Verlag voranzutreiben. Dabei wurden bereits einzelne Kapitel diskutiert.

From 7 December 2024, the National Museum of Chad in N'Djamena will be hosting a special exhibition on the results of archaeological research carried out as part of a six-year project at the Frobenius Institute in Chad.
