On Friday, 17 May 2024, the workshop "Visual Anthropology" took place with colleagues and Ethiopian Henkel scholarship holders from Germany, England, France and Austria.

Workshop: Cereal Cultures in South and Central Asia
The Frobenius Institute for Research in Cultural Anthropology, in collaboration with University of Groningen, has organized an interdisciplinary workshop from 22 May to 25 May 2024 on the theme of “Cereal Cultures in South and Central Asia” at the Taunus Tagungshotel both online and in presence.

Research Partner receives Arnold Rubin Award
Together with José da Silva Horta and Carlos Almeida from the Faculty of Letters, University of Lisbon, our long standing research partner and former Frobenius fellow Peter A. Mark (Wesleyan University) won the Arnold Rubin Award for their book African Ivories in the Atlantic World, 1400-1900/Marfins Africanos no Mundo Atlântico, 1400-1900 in the category of the best multi-authored work in the field of African art.
