Hildegard Schiltz studied at the „Fachhochschule für Bibliothekswesen“ in Frankfurt am Main and, after graduating in 1995, worked at „Deutsches Bibliotheks-Institut“ in Berlin in the department „Zeitschriftendatenbank“. At the same time, she worked part-time at an Institute Library of the „Technische Fachhochschule Berlin“ in the areas of user consulting and cataloguing for biotechnology and medical technology. From 1998 to 2002, she oversaw the Institute Library of the Institute of Economic Geography at the Goethe University Frankfurt. Since 2002 Hildegard Schiltz has been working at the Leo Frobenius Library of Cultural Anthropology, initially full-time and since 2012 part-time. She is in charge of the following tasks: cataloguing, subject cataloguing, shelfmark assignment, and ordering.
