The archive contains film recordings by various ethnologists. In cooperation with Markus Schleiter, who did intensive research on film in the Santal area in India, the Santali Film Database was founded, in which some films of the Santal can be seen.
Furthermore, twelve short films by the ethnologist Herrmann Niggemeyer can be found here. His pictures from the Kuttia Kond area were captured with a Bolex 16mm camera, which was driven by a hand crank.

A short cut of different scenic shots shows Leo Frobenius, as well as his wife and daughter in a short film on their journey through India.
