Kelemework Tafere Reda ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter und Forscher an der Universität Mekelle, Äthiopien. Seit Februar 2022 arbeitet er am Frobenius-Institut der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt im Rahmen des Projekts "Saving and Being Safe Away from Home", gefördert von der Gerda Henkel Stiftung und dem Scholar Rescue Fund (IIE-SRF). Sein Forschungsthema ist: The Dynamics of Trust in Informal Money Transfer and Savings among Ethiopian migrants in the Middle East. Zu seinen bisherigen Forschungsinteressen gehören Konflikte und Konfliktlösung, Migration, nachhaltige Entwicklung und die soziokulturellen Grundlagen der Gesundheit. Er hat auch an kollaborativen Forschungsprojekten in Dänemark und dem Vereinigten Königreich mitgearbeitet.
