Once a year, the Frobenius Institute awards the Frobenius Research Promotion Prize to excellent ethnological dissertations in German-speaking countries at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
The prize, endowed with 3000 euros, was awarded to Dr. Joseba Estevez on 18 October 2024 for his work entitled ‘Conquering mountains and taming demons: The ritual roles of the Lanten priests and masters’.
